AC Milan prodigy Kingsley Boateng commits future to Black Stars

AC Milan whiz kid Kingsley Boateng has pledged to play for the Black Stars after a telephone conversation with Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

This could be a slap in the face for the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) who was seeking to convince him to play for the Azzurri after succeeding with Mario Balotelli-born in Italy to Ghanaian parents.

The 17-year-old has already featured for Italy's Under-19 side in a friendly against Montenegro and will have to be cleared by Fifa.

"He was very happy when he had a call from Nyantakyi and can't wait to play his first match with the national team so he's waiting for the GFA to make his debut," Boateng's Guardian Angel John Tsagli told GHANAsoccernet.com

"When the time is right, I'll be ready to play for Ghana even though the Italy wish he joined the Azzurri."

Boateng was a big hit for AC Milan during the pre-season and scored in a friendly back in August.

He was born in Mpatuam in the Ashanti Region and sent to Italy at the age of four.
