AC Milan target in-demand Lazio playmaker

AC Milan have reportedly rekindled their interest in Lazio’s Lucas Biglia, as they aim to bolster their midfield ahead of the forthcoming Serie A campaign.

The talented playmaker was previously a target for the Rossoneri in 2015, when vice-president Adriano Galliani made a fleeting attempt to lure the Argentine to the Stadio San Siro.

However, Tuttosport have now claimed that Milan are once again keen to acquire Biglia’s in-demand services, although may have to also compete with local rivals Inter.

Interestingly, Biglia could hand in a transfer request should Lazio fail to obtain European qualification for next year’s campaign, which could instantly increase the possibility of a Stadio Olimpico departure.

The only obstacle that could potentially prevent the completion of a possible deal is Claudio Lotito’s reluctance to sell, as the Aquile president is extremely keen to keep hold of his star man.

Since joining the Biancocelesti from Anderlecht in 2013, Biglia has made a total of 71 Serie A appearances and has scored nine goals.
