AC Milan target Schalke starlet

AC Milan are reportedly interested in Schalke 04’s Max Meyer as they look to add him to their midfield.

The youngster can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani believes that he can add that spark of creativity to the Rossoneri’s under-performing midfield this season.

According to SportBild, The Diavolo aren’t the only club in Europe who are keeping tabs on the wunderkind as the likes of Barcelona, Liverpool and Sevilla are in the race for the 20-year-old’s signature.

Milan will have a tough time luring the German to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza as he is contracted to the Konigsblauens until June 2018 coupled with the fact that Schalke aren’t interested in selling him.

Meyer has amassed a total of 79 appearances while scoring 13 goals for the Bundesliga outfit.
