AC Milan to send youngster away on loan

AC Milan midfielder Jose Mauri will leave the club on loan in the January transfer window with Chievo and Atalanta set to battle it out for his signature.

The Argentinian youngster shone at former side Parma last season before his move to Milan, though hasn’t been allowed the chance to replicate his form this campaign, having only made two appearances in his first six months with the Rossoneri, both short cameos in the Coppa Italia.

Subsequently, Milan are now looking to send him out on loan in the hopes of the youngster gathering some experience and minutes on the field.

Corriere di Verona reports that Chievo and Atalanta are considered favourites to take the player on loan from Milan, although both will have to battle amongst themselves to come up with the most enticing offer.

Mauri appeals to both clubs in particular as Chievo are searching for a player with flair who can play on the inside of midfield and on the wing, whilst the Orobici are seaching for a replacement for Carlos Carmona, who will miss the rest of the season due to injury.
