Former Ghana U20 midfielder Abass Samari Salifu has made a move to Israeli second-tier club Hapoel Nir Ramat HaSharon for the 2024-25 season.

Although the specifics of his transfer from Accra Lions FC remain undisclosed, Samari has quickly made an impact.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who featured in only eleven league matches last season in the Ghana Premier League, scoring two goals and providing one assist, has already found the net in his debut for Ramat HaSharon.

Despite his goal, the team suffered a 1-2 defeat to Hapoel Tel Aviv in the third round of the Leumit League.

Salifu, who was part of Ghana’s squad for the 2022 Toulon Cup, is now focused on securing a regular starting position as they prepare to face Kfar Qasem on September 12.

His early performance in Israel hints at a promising chapter ahead in his career.

The Ghana U23 player made 63 appearances for Lions in the Ghanaian championship, where he 12 goals and delivered six assists in the process after he joined them from Young Apostles FC.
