Accra Lions midfielder Kelvin Kyei moves to Malaysian side Selangor FC

Published on: 28 June 2022

Midfielder Kelvin Kyei, one of Accra Lions' best players last season, has joined Malaysian club Selangor FC.

Kyei was impressive, helping the club achieve their goal of remaining in the Ghana Premier League on their first try.

He began the season on the wings but was moved to right back after Christopher Acheampong left for Bulgaria.

Kyei demonstrated his ambidexterity, and he is an excellent signing for Selangor, a club with high hopes of winning the Malaysia Super League.

The 22-year-old is expected to travel to Malaysia this week to complete the transfer and start playing for Selangor.

The Malaysian league is in session, with Selangor 6th, having played seven matches out of the possible seven.

Kyei scored one goal and assisted one for Accra lions last season.
