Accra Lions FC have distanced themselves from a petition by Division One League clubs to the Normalisation Committee over the cancelled Special Competition.
A statement on the club's Facebook page read: ''Our attention has been drawn to a press release signed by a so-called spokesperson for Division One League clubs to the Normalisation Committee over the botched special tournament.
''We wish to dissociate ourselves with the statement as one of the petitioners.
''Accra Lions FC reserve the right to speak for ourselves and we deserve to be informed before our name is added to any petition.
''The club will be forced to take legal action against any person or group who fails to respect our right.
''To be clear, Accra Lions support any action that will help strengthen Ghana football but all steps and processes must be done decorously.
