Ghana defender David Addy was not included in the Vitoria Guimaraes team to face Vitoria Setubal on Monday.

The 23-year-old only returned to training last week after recovering from a thigh strain.

Manager Rui Vitoria however considers the ex All Stars player too fragile for Monday’s Primera Liga.

Addy is thus being saved for the big game at home against Benefica at the weekend.

The 2009 U20 World Cup winner has been the first choice left-back for Guimaraes since arriving at the beginning of the season from giants FC Porto.

He has played 16 out of the 22 games played this season in the Portuguese top flight and has scored one goal.
