Emmanuel Adebayor and John Paintsil have confirmed their participation in this year’s Star Soccer Fiesta.

The Togolese super star will be making his maiden appearance at the annual charity event after six years of its existence whereas Paintsil has featured in all of its editions.

The event involves a one-off game where the professional footballers will line up against entertainment, TV and radio celebrities.

This year’s event which will take place on June 24 in Kumasi will however be preceded by a massive road show where the stars will be making stops at vantage points enroute to Kumasi via road.

This year’s event has been given an international twist this term with the involvement of Adebayor and Bennin’s Stephane Sessegnon and the Togolese just can't wait to get started.

“I am very much delighted to be part of this event and we hope to make the people of Kumasi happy with our presence there,” Adebayor said.

The proceeds from this year’s event which is being used to promote peace ahead of the December 7 general elections will be used to support juvenile football with the other quota going to charity.
