Adonko next level launches Next Africa Football Star

The Adonko Next Level Next Africa’s Football Star has officially been launched.

The tournament which aims at unearthing talents to become the next African stars was formally launched in Kumasi-Ghana’s second-biggest City on Saturday 3rd April 2021 at the Miklin Hotel.

Under the auspices of the Adonko Level Energy Drink, and the member of Parliament Kwabre East in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah, top football talents will be given the opportunity to showcase their talents in an organized and routine session.

The Launch was attended by the Adontenghene of the Manponteng traditional area, and his entourage, while the Ashanti regional Football Association was represented by their vice Chairman Vincent Akutsa, former Administrative officer at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Kwame Obeng Fosu, Yaw Dabo- CEO of Dabo Soccer Academy and Edmund Twumasi.

Convening founder and leader of mission, Africa Diaspora forum, H.E Dr Erieka Benneth was the special guest of honour, in her message to the event delivered via video, she acknowledged the impact the event is going to have on upcoming footballers and the opportunities available for them in future.

The French Ambassador to Ghana- H.E Anne Sophie Ave also sent in her message through video recording, declaring her topmost support for the first-ever Adonko Next Level Next Africa’s Football Star Reality Show.

The former Bechem United chief executive officer who is noted for growing Football talents said the Platform will be offered to all Football talents on fair grounds.

Winners of the Reality show will have the opportunity of European trials leading to a permanent deal.

Speaking at the Launch, Sporting Director of Ashantigold SC Nana Kwasi Darlyn said this was a dream come true for him as a ‘failed’ footballer.

”I have always wanted to be a great footballer but due to injuries I had to stop,” he said.

”Just after quitting playing, I decided to still give back to the sports through scouting and that’s what I have since embarked on and thank God he’s using me to bless several top-notch talents in Ghana and beyond,” Nana Kwasi Darlyn added.

The list, he says, will later be trimmed to form a solid 23-man squad to commence the establishment of a modern Academy in the Kwabre East District which will be hugely supported by the Member of Parliament for the Kwabre East Constituency- Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah.

Nana Kwasi Darlyn has helped raised top Ghanaian talents with former FC Twente star Shadrack Eghan and Kingsley Sarfo- a former Malmo FF winger.

Meanwhile, Barima Osei Ayisi Ayeboafo II, – Mamponteng Hene, has promised to offer officials of the Reality Show a big land to start the Academy Project which will be stationed in his community.
