Ghanaian midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi claimed his first Premier League title with FC Nordsjaelland on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old was in action in his side’s 3-0 win over Horsens to clinch the club’s first Danish top flight crown in front of a packed stadium in Farum.

Nordsjaelland who won the league title by just two points after 33 round of matches have thus sealed automatic qualification into the group stage of next season’s Uefa Champions League.

This means Adu Kofi who was key in the Ghana U-17 squad which played in the 2007 World Cup in South Korea will join a distinguished list of Ghanaians to have featured in the prestigious competition.

The former Liberty Professionals player has seen his club career revived in Denmark since joining from French side OGC Nice in 2010.

He was instrumental in FC Nordsjaelland’s successful campaign in last season’s Danish Cup.
