Aduana Stars new coach Cioaba Aristica has directed management to recall want-away striker Bernard Don Bortey for pre-season.

The Romanian trainer believes the speedster can help his course next season and reclaim the league title.

Don Bortey has been linked with a move to giants Asante Kotoko after complaining of outstanding salaries.

The 28-year-old told Kumasi based Angel FM: "A top management member of the club called and told me they had wanted to allow me to leave but the new coach has instructed them to call me back to the team

"He (Cioaba) needs me there and that he has heard a lot about me while he was in Europe."

Bortey added that: "The fact is they (Aduana Stars) have not paid me for three months now so am applying for a floating status and move from the club despite this calls for me to return because my mind is made-up."
