Aduana dismiss reported Vietnamese move of Dong-Bortey

Published on: 07 November 2011

Bernard Dong-Bortey is still an Aduana Stars player insists the club’s operations manager, George Gyawu.

The 29-year-old was reported to have completed a two-year switch to Vietnamese club Song Lam Nghe An but this, Gyawu says is not entirely true.

“Discussions between us and the Vietnamese club are still ongoing, we are yet to finalize any agreement with respect to a permanent deal for Dong-Bortey,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Bortey himself has contacted us to let us know the club was very much interested in him and that they wanted him to sign but since we have not concluded talks the player cannot complete a move.”

The ex Hearts of Oak star left Ghana a fortnight ago to undergo trials with the named club which has eventually proved successful but is yet to complete a switch.

It is a curse on this player Dong Bortey that he will not get any better team to play after insulting the supporters of the only fabulous club in Ghana. This deal will fall, it will not happen, eventually, he will retire from soccer out of frustration. Nobody messes with us!!!
