Operations Manager of Aduana Stars George Gyawu has rued missed chances in their midweek Premier League stalemate with Asante Kotoko.

The league leaders managed to finally come away with a point on Wednesday at the dreaded Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa after three attempts.

Gyawu however says it would have been a different result had his side's attacking machinery been more effective in front of goal in the game often engulfed in massive tension.

"We created several goal scoring chances, enough for us to win the game but somehow we squandered all of them," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"It was a very tough game - it has always been against Kotoko but we have ourselves to blame for dropping points with our profligacy.

"It is an area we need to improve before our next game against Dwarfs and I am sure we will be able to do that by the time we play them (Dwarfs)."

The draw extends Kotoko's lead at the summit of the league with closest contender Hearts of Oak stuttering to a 1-0 defeat at AshantiGold.
