Aduana Stars forward Bright Adjei anxious about termination of Ghana Premier League season

Aduana Stars striker Bright Adjei has expressed his worry over the cancellation of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

Adjei insists the decision taken by the Ghana FA Executive Council to terminate the season is a big blow to him and his teammates since they were poised to clinch the league title.

Aduana Stars were topping the league standings after 15 rounds when the league was suspended in mid-March due to the coronavirus outbreak.

"The FA deciding to cancel the league is a worry to us because we wanted to win the league and represent Ghana in Africa championships League . So hearing the news was a bad," Adjei told Alpha Radio

"Looking at the performance of we Aduana Stars players it clearly shows that we were ready to do something for the club."

On Tuesday 30 June 2020, the Ghana FA Executive Council members unanimously reached a decision to trancate the 2019/20 season amid the coronavirus crisis which made it impossible for the season to continue.
