Aduana Stars shot-stopper, Stephen Adams has welcomed stiff competition from the club’s newly signed goalie Joseph Addo ahead of the season.

The Dormaa-based club, in their quest of fighting for the top-flight championship have augmented their squad with the signing of former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Joseph Addo.

Fears were that former Black Stars goalie would lose his position to the former U20 goalkeeper but Adams insists that he will still be in post.

“For Aduana there is always a competition among the goalkeepers. Last season we placed third on the league log. And in that I kept in 24 games, so for me I’m happy that a new goalie has joined the team and it will push me to give out my best.”

“Even the new goalkeeper joining the team will be better for the club because if I’m not there he can man the post and help the club to achieve the needed the results,” said Stephen Adams.

Since the Dormaa-based club qualified to the elite club competition six seasons ago, Stephen Aadams has been the club’s safest pair of hands leading the club to win the Ghana Premier League in their debut season.
