Aduana Stars management to decide Kenichi Yatsuhashi future- Elvis Opoku

Aduana Stars midfielder Elvis Opoku says the future of coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi squarely lies in the hands of the club's management.

The Japanese gaffer ended his four-match contract with the Ghana Premier League champions after their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.

It's unclear if the Fire Club will offer him a new deal after their embarrassing 6-0 defeat to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca to exit the competition rooted at the bottom of their group.

But midfielder Elvis Opoku says the decision to either stick with the American-trained coach or otherwise squarely lies with the club's top hierarchy.

"Players do not decide which coach should be hired by a club. The decision to either continue with him or not will be taken by the management," he told Ghana Crusader Radio

"We are a disappointed we could not progress in the competition but that how it is.

"The coach did his best but obvious his best was not enough. We have to put the defeat behind us and urge forward."
