AFC Wimbledon striker Kwesi Appiah has set his sights on returning to winning ways in the FA Cup after their slim defeat against Portsmouth in the English League One on New Year's Day.

The Dons suffered their first defeat in the new year after going down 2-1 against league leaders Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Tuesday afternoon.

The 29-year-old, who netted the consolation goal for Wally Downes' side men, regret their relaxed second half performance in the game but hopes they can make amends in their Saturday's FA Cup meeting against Fleetwood Town.

Showed great character second half after a slow start. Onto the #FaCup we go! ??⚽️? pic.twitter.com/Z4sgOWPzEV
