In-form Andre Ayew will captain Ghana against Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium on Saturday.

The Swansea City star has been handed the armband in the absence of Asamoah Gyan, who failed to recover from a knee injury.

Gyan suffered the problem when he came on as a substitute in last Tuesday’s friendly against Congo in Brazzaville.

Ayew is not new to leading the team after deputizing at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations where Ghana won silver.
