The Democratic Republic of Congo have been hit by further bad news ahead of the country's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia in Monrovia this weekend.

The Leopards will be without new Aston Villa recruit Yannick Bolasie who is yet to return to full fitness.

The wing-wizard joined the Championship club last week on-loan from Everton.

Furthermore, the DRC will also be without Neeskens Kebano (Fulham), Jordan Ikoko (Guingamp) and Chancel Mbemba (Porto) due to respective injury problems, while Ley Matampi has also withdrawn himself from the squad due to reported club commitments.

Gael Kakuta and Marcel Tisserand also join an absentee list that includes star forward Cedric Bakambu.

The striker was reportedly dropped from the squad with some reports suggesting that his omission comes due to an administrative error with his passport.

Florent Ibengé's troops are level on three points with with Zimbabwe after one round of fixtures in Group G.

The DR Congo beat Congo-Brazzaville 3-1 in Kinshasa last year.
