Newly appointed Black Stars management committee member Dr Kofi Koduah Sarpong has promised his outfit will do their utmost best to ensure the team succeeds.

The West Africa giants are sharpening their rough edges ahead of their final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Accra on Saturday.

On Thursday, the five-member committee led by Dr. Sarpong, assisted by Perry Okudzeto who also doubles as the deputy Sports Minister met the Black Stars players for the first time since their appointment.

The former Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko indicated that the Committee will put in place all necessary measures to ensure they get the necessary support as the team readies to participate in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The committee will supervise the activities of the Black Stars, and collaborate with the technical team to facilitate all arrangements to ensure the team gets the best of preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Ghana and Kenya have booked their places at the biennial tournament which is slated for June in Egypt.

Ghana will be eyeing for the top spot in this encounter as well as a revenge as they lost 1-0 to Kenya in the first leg.

The four-time champions are seeking to end their 37-year wait for continental success, having won their last title in 1982.

Kwesi Appiah's side have come close to ending their drought at the last six tournaments, having reached the semi-finals, and even going as far as the final in 2010 and 2015.
