Deportivo Alaves midfielder Mubarak Wakaso is excited to have his younger brother Alhassan Wakaso join him in the Black Stars camp.

Alhassan earned his maiden call-up for the Ghana senior team for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya.

Wakaso meanwhile has been a mainstay in the side since making his debut in 2012, scoring 12 goals in 51 appearances.

During an interview with the media ahead of the Saturday's match, Mubarak was asked to describe how he feels about his younger sibling's call-up.

The Vitória Guimarães midfielder was handed a call-up after a wonderful season in the Portuguese top-flight.

“Yes I am happy for him, he is a player and I am a player and am ready to help him,” Mubarak Wakaso told the media.

“We are just hoping for the best and working to help the team so I hope everything goes on well.”

Alhassan has been one of the shinning lights for Vitória Guimarães in the Portuguese Liga NOS after netting once in 24 games to help the side to 5th place after twenty-six round of matches.
