The Black Stars will leave Ghana for Doha on Friday to begin their pre-AFCON camping ahead of the tournament in January.
The locally based players will leave with the technical team on Friday and will be joined by foreign based players in Qatar.
Captain Andre Ayew, who is based in Qatar will meet the squad over there as preparations begin in earnest for the tournament.
Ghana will play a series of friendlies including facing African champions Algeria.
Coach Milovan Rajevac named a 30-man provisional squad on Tuesday.
The West African powerhouse is chasing a fifth AFCON title after last winning the championship in 1982.
Ghana have been drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Comoros Island and Gabon.
The team play Morocco in their opening game on January 10, before playing Gabon and Comoros Island in subsequent games.
