Ghana’s U-20 coach, Abdul Karim Zito is happy with his side’s strong start to the U-20 Cup of Nations, following their thumping victory over Tanzania.

The Black Satellites recorded the biggest win from the first round of games after thrashing Tanzania 4-0 in Nouadhibou.

A brace from Precious Boah, Issaku Fatawu’s sensational strike and Schalke forward Josepho Barnes flicking goal ensured the Black Satellites were off to a flying start.

“Ghana are known to be slow starters in competition so it’s good that this time around we’ve changed that story,” Zito said in the post match interview.

“Am happy we won against Tanzania because though we scored 4 goals, it was not an easy match. They have some really good players but in football you are always punished with your mistakes,” he added.

“It’s a good start for us and it will propel the way players for the matches against Morocco and Gambia. It’s also good for their confidence.”

The Black Satellites will next face Morocco, who beat Gambia, on Friday.
