AFCON U-20 Championship: Fatawu Issahaku named MOTM in Ghana’s big win against Tanzania

Published on: 17 February 2021

Midfielder Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been named Man of the Match in Ghana’s heavy win against Tanzania in the opening group C match.

The 16-year-old scored arguably the best goal of the tournament with a sensational strike from the center circle as Ghana thrashed Tanzania 4-0.

Issahaku’s goal and his performance in general did not escape the lenses of the technical team from CAF as he was adjudged the best player on the day.

Teammate Precious Boah had a brace in the game with Schalke’s youth team striker Josepho Barnes also netting on his competitive debut.

The three time champions will next face Morocco in Noaudhibou in the second game of the group. The Moroccans beat Gambia 1-0 in their opening game.
