Ghana defender Harrison Afful came off the bench to provide the assist for Esperance's winner in their 2-1 triumph at Avenir de La Marsa in the Tunisian Premier League.Â
Afful replaced captain Wajdi Bouazzi on 67 minutes and was assigned as a right-winger with the match delicately poised at 1-1.
The former Asante Kotoko wing-back made a surging run on the flanks before whipping in a cross for Yannick N'Djeng to turn in for clincher in the 72nd minute.
Esperance now have a two-point lead at the top of the table with three matches to end the season.
Afful's compatriot and new signing Emmanuel Clottey was an unused substitute.
