Tunisia-based defender Harrison Afful has confirmed he will join his Ghana team mates next Tuesday in Kumasi for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

The Esperance versatile player has delayed his arrival to the Black Stars camp due to assignments in the Tunisian League.

Afful will play the final first round match against CA Bizertin on Sunday and will leave Tunis on Monday for Accra.

"I have spoken to the head coach and he is aware of my situation so I will join the team in Kumasi," the former Asante Kotoko player told MTNFootball.com

This will mean the 24-year-old will join his team mates three days to the match against Lesotho in Kumasi on June 1.

Head coach Kwesi Appiah will name a final squad that will move to Kumasi on Sunday meaning Afful is guaranteed an automatic slot.

But he denied any knowledge of that.

"I don't know about the naming of a final squad. All I know is, I have to report."
