Ghana international Harrison Afful was named man-of-the-match as Esperance beat rivals Etoile Du Sahel 1-0 to lift the Tunisian Cup on Monday night.

The ex-Asante Kotoko player raided the flanks as a 42nd minute strike from talisman Oussemma Darragi sealed the win.

Afful second season has exceptional after he helped the side clinch the Tunisian League title despite the pro-democracy uprising that brought the North African country to a standstill.

"I am very happy with what we have achieved this season and it’s always a delight to be part of a great tradition like this," Afful told GHANAsoccernet.com

"I am grateful to the managers and supporters for the total support and we can only be happy for them. They should salvo the moment because the victory is theirs.

"Of course I am looking forward to playing for a top European side, quite clearly that’s dream of every footballer."

Esperance now have 14 Cup titles in their trophy cabinet.
