Africa News: Wydad AC appoint Frenchman Sebastien Desabre as new coach

Published on: 17 January 2020

Moroccan giants Wydad AC have appointed Sebastien Desabre as new coach until the end of the season.

The Frenchman is replacing Serbian tactician Zoran Manojlovic who was fired after the club's 2-2 draw with Angolan side Petro Atletico in the CAF Champions League.

Desabre is returning to the Moroccan champions for a second stint. He was in charge from 2016 to 2017.

The 43-year-old parted ways with Egyptian moneybags Pyramids FC about a month ago following strings of poor results in the league.

Desabre guided Uganda to the knock-out stage at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
