Ghanaian striker Samuel Afum's second half goal helped FC Smouha to secure their first win in the Egyptian top flight on Friday night.

The 22-year-old former Accra Hearts of Oak forward fired a rebound into last post to double their lead before lowly-placed El Dakhleya pulled one back to make it 2-1.

Veteran striker Godwin Attram came close to opening the scoring for Smouha but his snap shot was palmed away by the visitors' keeper on the half hour mark.

Shawky Garib's return from recess with a stirred up display and Hani Al Egeizi hit the opener right on the hour mark.

Afum then scored his second goal in two games to seal the victory for Smouha.

Abdul Aziz Mousa then pulled one back in added time for the visitors.
