Ghanaian striker Samuel Afum scored all two goals to pick the points for Smouha FC in a 2-1 win over Ismaily in the Egyptian top flight on Monday night.

Smouha needed the win to catapult themselves out of the trap-zone and Afum proved to be reliable with his second half strikes.

Ahmed Ali has shot Ismaily ahead on 18 minutes but the former Hearts of Oak man leveled the scoring for Smouha on 53 minutes.

On the 90th minute mark, he scored a screamer to help Smouha jump from 15th place to 12th on the league table.

Compatriot Godwin Attram played a crucial role in the game for the Alexandria-based side.

The brace takes Afum's goal tally to five in 12 games.
