Ghana midfielder Michael Essien might be on his way out of AC Milan this summer after his agent confirmed scheduled talks with the club after the 2014 World Cup.

The 31-year-old only joined the Rossoneri in January after ending an ilustrious eight-year stay with English giants Chelsea.

The experienced midfielder has however not overly impressed after making seven Serie-A appearances under manager Clarence Seedorf who is reportedly on his way out of the San Siro.

Essien now faces an uncertain future at Milan having admitted that Seedorf was the main reason he chose to join the Italian club on a one-and-a-half years contract.

The Ghana international’s agent, Fabian Piveteau has now revealed scheduled talks with Milan officials at the end of the World Cup to straighten out this uncertainty.

Piveteau however added that Essien’s future at Milan largely depends on the future managerial directions of the club.

"I will meet with Milan after the World Cup, and then we will decide what to do,” he said.

“It also depends on the new coach."

Essien is currently with the Black Stars team in the Netherlands preparing for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The former Chelsea star will be making his second appearance at the mundial if he manages to make Ghana’s final squad having missed the last edition four years ago in South Africa due to injury.
