Agent says Bologna winger Giaccherini keen on Lazio move

The agent of Bologna winger Emanuele Giaccherini says he'd welcome a move to Lazio.

Giaccherini is on-loan at Bologna from Sunderland.

“On June 30 Emanuele will return to Sunderland, where he signed a four-year contract," agent Furio Valcareggi told Lalaziosiamonoi.it.

“What he's going into could well be the last year of his contract and there is only a loan deal with Bologna, so at that point the transfer back will be automatic.

“From then on it'll be the beauty of a new scenario, 365 days from the end of his rapport with the English club.

“I think that means his price-tag will be more accessible, even if you have to treat Sunderland with kid gloves. This is a team that earns as much money as Manchester United, so they certainly don't have economic problems and don't give gifts.

“They will not accept the approach of someone who suggests letting his contract expire would be a blot on the balance sheet.

“I don't know anything about interest from Lazio. Obviously it's an important club, among the top six or seven in Italy. Who wouldn't want to play for Lazio?

“It really is a flattering link and he'd love it there."
