Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu claims a Uefa Champions League spot is not beyond the reach of Udinese this season.

The Udine-based side are currently in fifth place in the league standings, a point behind Lazio, who occupy the final Champions League qualifying spot and enjoy a comfortable cushion over sixth-placed Roma, leading Vincenzo Montella's team by six points.

With five games left in the championship this season, the midfielder who has played a cameo role in a blistering run this term is adamant his side can grab the Uefa Champions League qualifying spot.

''This is the crucial stage of the season but I believe we have a great coach and players who are mentality tough to achieve that aim this year,'' Badu said

"The season has been fantastic for the club and its supporters and it will be great to cap an incredible season with earning an European berth for next season."

Coach Francesco Guidolin's charges meet Parma in a crucial Seria A match on Saturday with leading goal scorer in the league Antonio Di Natale expected to be back in the starting line-up.
