Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has predicted the upcoming season will be tough for Udinese but reckons they have the mental fortitude to maintain their form.
The Italian side failed to qualify to the Group phase of the Uefa Champions League after a 3-1 aggregate defeat to Arsenal.
Udinese will begin their campaign against Juventus when the Serie A gets underway next week.
"I believe the season will be very difficult for us because we have lost some key players but nevertheless we'll do our best to maintain the position we chalked last season," Badu said.
"We're out of the champions League and naturally it will affect the moral of the players but we are professionals and we understand that things don’t always have to go your way."
Udinese head coach Francesco Guidolin is prepared to hand Badu more playing after he excelled in the Champions League play-off.
