Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has hailed the influence of defender Baba Rahman in Ghana's 2015 AFCON qualifying win over Guinea on Wednesday.

The Augsburg defender, 21, was Ghana's most outstanding performer at the Tamale Sports Stadium as he set up Agyemang-Badu for the third goal.

And the Udinese man was full of praise for the youngster after the game.

"He [Baba Rahman] is an excellent player,"” Badu told the post match press conference.

“I know what he has been doing in Germany for his club and he is improving game after game.

“So you could see that when I scored I went to him to shine his boots. He is a fantastic player.”

Baba was a member of the Ghana squad that won bronze at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup and won his second senior cap only on Wednesday.
