Ahly striker Konan remains a doubt for Berekum Chelsea clash

Al Ahly are sweating on fitness of new striker Oussou Konan for Saturday's CAF Champions League Group match against Berekum Chelsea.

The Ivorian hitman complained of pains in his pelvis and remains a major doubt against the competition's surprise package.

"Konan is suffering from pelvic pain and that was the reason he left the Friday night training session," the club said in a statement on its official website.

"The Ivorian player will undergo further scans in the next 48 hours to determine if he will be available for the Chelsea clash or not," added the statement.

Ahly are on top of Group B after beating TP Mazembe and Zamalek.
