Ghana Premier League side King Faisal have sacked Serbian coach Dragan Popadic for non-performance.

Popadic joined the club in February after stop-gap Ghanaian Henry Wellington quit the club and failed to impress in six matches.

The 46-year-old won one; drew one and lost four matches.

Former Ghana youth international goalkeeper Ben Owu has been appointed interim coach for the rest of the season.

Popadic won two national championships and the Eastern and Central Africa Champions Cup (CECAFA CUP) with Tanzanian side Simba FC.

He also won the Ugandan league title with Express Kampala and guided Petro Atletico Luanda to lift the National Cup Angola.

Faisal currently lie third from bottom and have five matches to save their Premier League status.
