Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus continues to train alone

Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus is yet to rejoin his teammates as he continues to train alone.

Kudus is not fully fit to team up with his colleagues for the final stage of the club's pre-season training programme.

The 20-year-old suffered an ankle injury last week and despite it not being serious, Ajax are taking no chances.

They want to avoid a situation where Kudus won't be able to give off his best in the coming season.

Kudus is set to miss out on Saturday's friendly against German side RB Leipzig.

After that, the club will play their last friendly match next Wednesday against Leeds United before facing PSV for Johan Cruijff Cup in their first match of the season.

Kudus is hoping for a great second season after injuries slowed him down in his first.
