Hearts of Oak coach CK Akunnor is delighted with his team's form especially in midfield ahead of the start of the Premier League season early next month.

The Phobians looked quite impressive in their 3-0 win over newly promoted Amidaus Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

It was the first time the Hearts fans got the chance to see their team who have undergone an intensive three-week residential camping exercise in Sekondi.

And Akunnor says his pre-season plan and how he wants the team to play is gradually coming together especially in midfield.

"The team is playing quite well especially in the midfield where my focus was today (win over Amidaus)," he said.

"The performance with the likes of Moro Abubakar in midfield looked good and I hope it continues like that."

Hearts have brought in a couple of players to power their ambition of wrestling the Premier League title from rivals Asante Kotoko this term.

The Phobians will be away on Premier League opening day to Tema Youth on October 7.
