Al Ain unsure of keeping Asamoah Gyan

UAE side Al Ain are uncertain of keeping hold of their star striker Asamoah Gyan when his loan deal with the club expires in the summer.

Gyan, who joined the club last year on-loan from English Sunderland, has been an instant hit by leading the club to the top of the league.

His performances have attracted interest from other clubs in the Gulf who are ready to pay huge amounts to Al Ain to sign the Ghanaian on permanent basis.

Sunderland are also said to be interested in their striker returning to the fold.

Al Ain's first team supervisor Mohammed Obeid Hammad insists it is too early to start thinking about the Ghanaian’s future.

"We should concentrate on the coming matches until the end of this season," he said.

"There is a special committee working on this side contacting the coach about the foreign and local players.

"Now we have delayed speaking about this case until the end of the season."

Gyan scored his 13th goal of the league season on Saturday when he powered his side to a 4-1 win over of Sharjah.

He is the league's second highest scorer so far this season.
