Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwasi Nyantakyi, has expressed optimism about the Black Stars' chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Despite the team's recent struggles, including their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Nyantakyi believes that all is not lost.

In an interview with Lawson FM, Nyantakyi stated, "I don't think all is lost, but we have to fix it. We have World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar, and I believe that the right players will have to be called for these games."

Nyantakyi, who led Ghana to three consecutive World Cup appearances during his tenure as GFA President, emphasized the need for significant changes to restore the team's fortunes.

He also stressed the importance of assembling a team of players who are not only talented but also deeply committed to representing the nation.

Nyantakyi's comments are a welcome boost to the Black Stars, who are looking to bounce back from a disappointing period.
