Wa All Stars halted Medeama's winning run after fighting back to draw 1-1 at home on Sunday.

The hosts needed a late strike from Emmanuel Adu Offei on the 83rd minute mark to cancel out Otuo Acheampong early opener.

Acheampong scored the fastest goal of the season after just 58 seconds with a superb volley from outside the box.

The home side kept the heat on the visitors, probing for the equalizer but a resolute defensive display from the Mauves and Yellows kept the attackers at bay.

But with seven minutes to end proceedings, Offei scored the crucial equalizer for the home side to heave a sigh of relief.

The result means, Medeama have been toppled from the league table after Berekum Chelsea recorded a 2-0 win over Berekum Arsenals in the local derby.

However referee Yaw Ametepey came in for a lot of flak for some poor refereeing decisions that got both sides infuriated.
