Allegri: Chelsea don’t interest me, I’m happy at Juventus

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri distanced himself from rumours that he is set to take over at Chelsea at the end of the season.

The Bianconeri boss also insisted that the side are not getting ahead of themselves as they sit in second while competing for the Scudetto ahead of their trip to Frosinone.

“Everything has its own time, it doesn’t make sense to talk about it now,” said Allegri to reporters when asked about Chelsea.

“Today, I am happy here, I have a contract with Juventus and I intend to stay here for the future of this team.”

The 48-year-old was also asked about the different mentalities at Juventus and Napoli.

“With Napoli only [Maurizio] Sarri can know,” Allegri added.

“At Juventus, after the win over Hellas Verona there was great euphoria but the Genoa game was one which brought us back down to earth.”

The former AC Milan coach also admitted that he has not problem with grinding out results without playing particularly well.

“Let’s not forget that last season we went through periods when we won a lot of games 1-0,” Allegri went on.

“There are times when you don’t play as well but you can pick up wins in dirtier games.

“Winning those also increases the chances of winning the Scudetto.”
