Following a dismal start to the season, Juventus had a club winning-run record, climbing to the top of the table, however coach Massimiliano Allegri reminds his side that there is still much to be done and that winning a treble is the ultimate goal.

The Bianconeri currently sit 3 points clear of second-place Napoli, but must also prepare for the second-leg of their Champions League match with Bayern Munich, as well as the Coppa Italia final with AC Milan.

“It was a positive night,” he told told Il Corriere dello Sport following Juventus’ 3-0 defeat to Inter, which still saw them advance to the Coppa Italia final.

“It was the sweetest defeat we could have obtained, and will be useful to our development, as we fielded many young players.

“We now face Milan in the cup final, and it will be a good challenge. Milan is like Inter, when ever we play them, it is always a fascinating match.”

When asked about Serie A, the Italian coach stated he never lost faith in his side, but warned that the season wasn’t over.

“Napoli can still come back, so we must be careful and take things one match at a time,” Allegri added, “[Maurizio] Sarri is an excellent coach, and is capable of getting the best our of his players.

“If we win the next game, we are one step closer to the title, but of course in football the weakest can beat the strongest. Inter’s recent decline in the league shows just how difficult football can be.”

Finally the coach spoke about his sides upcoming battle with Bayern Munich in the hopes of progressing in the Champions League.

“Winning will be extremely difficult, but I believe we can do it,” he stated.

“We have maturated in Europe, our awareness is growing and we have done well in difficult situations, but we still must improve. We are playing one of the favourites in the tournament, but it all comes down to one match.”
