Floriana has lifted a 28-day suspension on William Amamoo after the goalkeeper gave explanations for not showing up for last week's Maltese Super Cup match.

An unfortunate miscarriage by his wife a day before the crucial encounter rendered the 26-year-old mentally unfit and says the suspension came about because of ineffective communication.

"It is true that I was suspended but it was as a result of a communication problem," Amamoo told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

"My wife who was pregnant had a miscarriage which I informed some officials about but somehow the news failed to get to the club President.

"He (Floriana President) was therefore upset when he didn't see me at the game and rightly initiated the suspension but upon hearing my side of the story, the club has decided to immediately lift the punishment."

The Ghana international however insists all is well with his club though he is hurt after losing his baby.

"Everything is now calm, I met the President and we shook hands and he expressed his deepest condolence.

"I am however very devastated at losing my child but both my wife and I are coping well with the situation," he added.
