Berekum Chelsea forward Stephen Amankona leads a competitive list of four players nominated for the NASCO Player of the Month award for March in the Ghana Premier League.
Amankona, arguably the standout performer, scored four goals in just three matches, including a memorable hat-trick against Accra Lions. His contributions also earned him a NASCO Player of the Match award, making him a strong contender for the monthly accolade.
Bechem United winger Yaw Annor is also in the running. He found the back of the net twice in four appearances and collected a NASCO Player of the Match award for his efforts. Though consistent, his numbers fall short of Amankona’s in terms of goal-to-game ratio.
Heart of Lions’ Kwesi Pong matched Annor’s goal tally but did so in three matches, giving him a slightly better scoring rate. He also picked up a Player of the Match honour during the month.
Aduana FC’s Kelvin Obeng rounds out the shortlist. He scored two goals in four matches and, like his fellow nominees, earned a NASCO Player of the Match award.
The winner of the NASCO Player of the Month award will receive a 43-inch NASCO Television, sponsored by Electroland Ghana Limited.
