Ambitious ex-Hearts coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi applied for Nigeria coaching job

Former Hearts of Oak Japanese trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi applied for the top coaching job of the Nigeria Super Eagles, the NFF has confirmed.

The ambitious young man was among 20 coaches who applied for the job but missed out in the last three shortlisted coaches.

Former Ethiopian coach, Tom Sainfiet, Super Eagles’ caretaker coach, Salisu Yusuf, and Frenchman Paul Le Guen, who once coached Cameroon are the three shortlisted coaches for the top job.

On Friday at the Glass House, the NFF Technical and Development Committee pored over more than 20 applications before cutting the list to three.

Kenichi who parted ways with the Phobians urged closer to taking his second job on the African continent after an 8-months stay in Ghana.

Despite the fact that Kenichi was not shortlisted, he was among the top coaches who inked for the Super Eagles job.
