Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng is confident he will be fit in time for Sunday's 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Swaziland after suffering a knock in training.

The 23-year-old, who plays for Italian giants AC Milan, picked up the knock during the training session in Soweto on Tuesday.

Black Stars medics are racing against time to get their man fit for the match to be played at the Somhlolo Stadium.

But the enforcer says will be ready for the away game in Swaziland for Ghana to hit the ground running in the qualifiers for the tournament to be played in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Boateng has retained his World Cup form and was impressive in his Serie A debut against Lecce over the weekend.

In-form striker Matthew Amoah has already been ruled out of the game leaving the Black Stars with only 21 players for the game.

Amoah has scored four goals in the opening four matches of the Dutch Eredivisie.
