Amos Frimpong: Former Kotoko captain to face Hearts of Oak in CAF Champions League

Former Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong will come up against Hearts of Oak in the CAF Champions League.

This is because his current team CI Kamsar of Guinea have been drawn to face the Ghanaian champions in the preliminary round of the competition.

This comes two days after Frimpog completed his transfer to Kamsar from Techiman Eleven Wonders.

The 30-year-old has joined the Guinean club on a one-year deal.

“I had a fine season with Techiman Eleven Wonders based on the support my fans gave me. Through that, I got the opportunity to have a link with my new club after putting up a good performance in our game against Accra Great Olympics.

"On that day the scouting team from the Guinean side saw something good in me which impressed them to contact me for this opportunity," Frimpong revealed about signing the contract.

His signature now is a valuable one as he will feed the club with important information needed to upstage the Phobians.

Frimpong knows Hearts very well having faced them several times in his career.

The Guineans will host the first leg of the tie on 10-12 September 2021 in Conakry before the second leg in Accra on 17-19 September.
